MEMBERS’ INVITATIONAL

The South Coast Artists Invitational Exhibition is an annual event at various galleries showcasing the range and depth of artwork created by member artists living and working in the South Coast Region of Rhode Island and Massachusetts.

The 2025 Members’ Invitational will take place at Imago Gallery, 36 Market Street, Warren, Rhode Island, May 1-31, 2025.

Exhibition Dates:

Hours: Thursdays: 12:00 — 3:00 p.m.
Fridays and Saturdays: 12:00 — 6:00 p.m.
Sundays: 12:00 — 4:00 p.m.
Opening Reception: Saturday, May 3rd, 5:00 — 8:00 p.m.

All works will be on view and available for purchase during the exhibition period.

The 2025 Members’ Invitational Exhibition will be at IMAGO Gallery in Bristol, RI.

South Coast Artists is celebrating its 22nd year with the Spring Members’ Invitational Exhibit at the prestigious IMAGO Gallery in Warren, RI, from May 1-31.

This spring the exhibit features 68 artists showing 123 original works, and the opening reception takes place at IMAGO Saturday, May 3rd from 5-8 p.m. Located at 36 Market Street, Warren, IMAGO is open for viewing Thursdays 12-3 pm, Fridays and Saturdays from 12-6 pm, and Sundays from 12-4 pm.

This diversified exhibit features the artists’ finest works in oil, acrylic, pastel, encaustic, watercolor, metal, clay, wood, mixed media, photography and collage. All of the works will be for sale and awards will be given for the top three works.

2025 Invitational Juror, Michael Rose

The juror for the Invitational is Michael Rose, an art gallerist and writer based in Providence, RI. Rose serves as the gallery manager at the historic Providence Art Club. He also writes the weekly "Inside Art" column for local news site GoLocalProv.com, profiling artists and he produces New England Art News, a weekly newsletter highlighting opportunities for artists throughout the region. 

Awards for outstanding artworks will be presented at 6:00 p.m. during the opening reception on Saturday, May 3rd.

IMAGO Foundation for the Arts began as a cooperative gallery founded and run by artists in 2003, becoming a federal nonprofit organization in 2007. The gallery is known for its high-quality exhibits, artist members, and commitment to arts education and performance for the surrounding communities.

“The quality of the work exhibited this year is impressive,” says SCA President Stephen Remick. “The South Coast is a unique region that has been inspiring artists for generations. And, to be able to share these works at a place like IMAGO, is significant.”

South Coast Artists, a 501(c) 3 non-profit organization, educates, represents, and supports artists living and working in the coastal towns of Tiverton and Little Compton, RI, and Westport and Dartmouth, MA. Each summer SCA sponsors studio tours and this year the 22nd annual SCA Open Studio Tour takes place on the weekends of July 19-20 and August 16-17. SCA also provides free educational events and grants for emerging artists.
