Lynn has always been inspired by the environment in Little Compton, RI, where she has spend time for the past 50 plus years. She has been creating art for as long as she can remember but has focused on developing her style in landscape painting for the past several years.
Lynn is intrigued by shadows and the light thrown on objects in nature. She hopes to draw the observer into the environment which she depicts by use of color and composition. Many of her compositions include sky and water, and there is always the play of light and shadow.
Lynn works primarily from her studio in Little Compton or in art class at the MFA in Boston from photographs she has taken. Photography has been a side interest for many years.
As a nature lover, it is a real joy to transfer her observation to canvas.
