Beth Russo Jewelry
Color. Bold and brilliant.
That’s what Beth Russo remembers from the age of 6. Beth knew then that art would be her life passion. This passion has not waned over time.
Beth’s creative journey includes photography, watercolor and jewelry making. The combination of these experiences has contributed to shaping the direction of her recent work.
Much of Beth’s inspiration comes from viewing Henry Moore’s work in cast bronze. The scale and undulating sensual nature of the work, abstract in nature, comforts and intrigues.
She finds the work of contemporary artists Liz Barber and Pamela Caughey exhilarating. Ms. Barber’s transparent layering and Ms. Caughey’s energetic use of line speak to her heart.
Immersed in her studio with an undetermined result, Beth’s art comes alive. Beth thrives on the unknown eventuality of what will occur when her brush meets the canvas. The use of vibrant colors, subtle nuances of marks, roughing up the canvas with her brushes, tools and fingers, allow her the freedom of expression.
