Amanda Moore is a self-taught artist. Her passion for wildlife conservation and understanding the natural world that surrounds us fuels her imagination and imagery. Amanda's subject matter often depicts evocative symbiotic relationships within nature and humanity.

Stylistically, Amanda's unique acrylic technique reflects the soft yet moody styles often depicted in vintage botanicals. She has been called the "Hannah Yata of primates". These days she is working to broaden her visions to reflect more current worldly challenges.

"I have always felt like a visitor from somewhere else. Since I was very young, the odd business of humaning moved me with this incredibly visceral need to translate my observations and experiences into something more tangible. Art was my solution to solving my desire to reach more primordial parts of myself.

I tell stories through my work that words can not. A language that current times seem to want one to forget. To remember and do it anyways is my own personal act of resistance.

I paint to alleviate the tension in my spirit. It's a beautiful yet tragic way to cope with having two feet in this world and a mind and spirit that drifts into others comfortably and often.”

Amanda has illustrated three published books, toured across the United States and Canada creating immersive installations and live painting as a featured artist at Chapel of Sacred Mirrors. Amanda has shown in many exhibitions including an internationally held exhibition in Belgrade Serbia.
